INDIVIDUAL
PSYCHOTHERAPY
SPC staff consists of a core group
of dedicated therapists. Fees for individual
psychotherapy are $180.00 per hour. A sliding fee
scale is available where the fee may be reduced.
Additional financial support may be available
through our fundraising program (See
R.E.A.Ch.).
TESTING &
EVALUATIONS
SPC offers a wide variety of
psychological testing and evaluations. Custody,
Court Ordered, Projective and Standardized
assessments are only a few. Fees vary greatly and
individual consultations are necessary in
determining what assessments may be needed and the
amount of work that will be involved.
DAY TREATMENT
PROGRAM
Our practice is committed to providing the best,
most natural and least intrusive, treatment possible
at a reasonable rate. Because of the uniqueness of
our treatment environment many people who might
otherwise be placed in inpatient or residential
programs thrive at SPC, without sacrificing their
autonomy or developing unnecessary dependency. Our
day treatment fees are unusually low when compared
to the high cost of other intense treatment
facilities. Inpatient and residential facilities
typically cost several thousands of dollars per
week.
SPC Usual and Customary Fees:
$2,000 per week + Individual Therapy ($100.00 per
session)
Fees are for enrollment in the program - not based
on attendance or utilization.
SPC Sliding Fee Scale:
Fees can be adjusted according to family income to
as little as $1000.00 per week + Individual Therapy
($90.00 per session). Fees are for enrollment in the
program - not based on attendance or utilization.
Fee Scholarships:
Fees may be further reduced through our
charitable scholarship program (R.E.A.Ch.). Fee paid
is decided on case by case basis. Written request
for consideration and proposal for payment based on
total family resources should be submitted to the
director (Dr. Popper).
Note:
1. All fees are non-refundable. Reduced fees
cover services at full charge until agreed upon
weekly contribution is exhausted - remaining
services are donated. (Thus, if weekly fee is
reduced to $200 this covers the first four groups on
Monday. Services for remainder of the week are
donated.)
2. Insurance billing is independent of reduced
fees.
TELEPHONE
CONSULTATION SERVICES
Fees for sessions conducted over the
telephone are $200 per session. A sliding fee scale
is available where the fee may be reduced.
POLICIES
All our professional time will be billed for at the
above rates per 50 minute session, except when
otherwise specifically agreed upon. This includes
writing reports or letters on your behalf for
insurance companies, or legal matters. It also
includes telephone consultations over a ten minute
duration.
Full payment is due at the beginning of each
session unless otherwise specifically agreed upon.
Clients are responsible for full payment regardless
of whether their insurance carrier makes payment on
their behalf.
SPC does accept most traditional insurances and
we will make every effort to protect your
confidentiality and avoid use of "mental illness
labels." However, SPC strongly recommends the lack
of confidentiality and difficulties that arise from
using insurance carriers be discussed with the
treating therapist during the initial session.
Because of our commitment to quality of care and our
clients' privacy SPC does not accept payment from
managed care companies.
Your health insurance policy is a contract
between you and your insurance company. We are not
party to that contract. We contract services and
payment of services with the client and thus,
failure of payment by the insurance company does
place the financial responsibility with the client.
Our interest is in you, our loyalties are to you,
and our responsibility is to you, not your insurance
carrier.
Clients are encouraged on setting weekly agreed
upon times. If clients can not arrange their
schedule to fit a agreed upon weekly timeslot
floating appointments can be made. SPC has a 24 hour
cancellation policy. If you do not provide your
therapist a minimum of 24 hours notice for an
appointment that can not be made you will be
charged. Insurance carriers customarily do not pay
for missed appointments so be sure to let us know. |
